Changelog

Updates, releases, and new things on ComputeSphere.

October 2026
  • SphereFiles

SphereFiles: shared file volumes. You can now add a file volume to an environment and mount it into several services at once, for uploads, media or shared assets.

  • Error type URIs move to computesphere.com/docs: match on code

The type in every error the API returns now points at the docs' new home//computesphere.com/docs/errors/ instead of https://docs.computesphere.com/errors/. The docs_url of each field in a validation error now links to the code's page (the #field fragment is gone).

  • SphereGate: a sign-in in front of any web service

Every team ends up writing a login screen for staging, an internal tool or a client demo. Now you don't have to: turn on SphereGate and every request is checked before it reaches your app. Your code doesn't change.

  • Public PostgreSQL hostnames start with the database's name

When you turn on public access for a database, its hostname now starts with the database's name, for example orders-api-7k2m9q.us-east-1.db.computesphere.com.

  • Cache 5 GB and Cache 10 GB

SphereCache now goes up to Cache 10 GB.

  • SphereCache (Valkey)

You can now add a managed Valkey cache to any environment, next to your services, at a fixed monthly price.

  • SphereQueue (RabbitMQ)

You can now add a RabbitMQ message broker of your own to any environment, next to your services, at a fixed monthly price.

  • Managed PostgreSQL in Sweden

Create managed PostgreSQL databases in EU (Sweden), eu-north-1. It's open to every account, on every plan from Free to Plus.

September 2026
May 2026
  • Documentation reorganized around tasks

One sidebar, fourteen sections, organized around what you're trying to do — deploy a service, manage data, expose a domain, watch logs. Replaces the previous tab-strip of six sections.

  • Every API error has a docs page

Every error returned by the ComputeSphere API now ships with a stable code and a direct link to its catalog entry — paste the URL into Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT and they have full context for debugging.

  • Verify your email before creating projects

New signups must verify their email address before creating their first project. Existing accounts are unaffected.

April 2026
  • 14-day free trial on every paid plan

Every paid plan now starts with a 14-day free trial. Add a card at signup, run your services on us for two weeks, first charge fires on day 15. Cancel anytime in the Console — no charge if you cancel before the trial ends.

  • API v2 — stable endpoints and a published OpenAPI spec

The new v2 API is live at api.computesphere.com/v2. Predictable response envelope, stable error codes, and a published OpenAPI spec that's the source of truth for every client we ship.

  • New quickstart — three CLI commands to a live service

The Quickstart is rebuilt around three CLI commands. From csph init to a live service URL on computesphere.app in about a minute, with one-click "Add to Claude" and "Add to Cursor" handoffs for the agent-driven flow.

March 2026
  • Account changes sync across every open tab

Verify your email in one tab and the other six update instantly. Switch accounts in one tab and the rest follow. No more stale states, no more "log out and back in to refresh."

February 2026
  • Better empty states across the Console

Every empty page in the Console — no services yet, no alerts, no logs — now opens with a clear next step instead of a blank screen.
